What does the scholarship within the Graduate School / Class of Language Education offer?
- Funding up for four years
- Research-oriented and interdisciplinary curriculum
- Intensive individual supervision of dissertation projects from a team of supervisors
- Interesting workshop and presentation program with guest researchers
- Chances to gain key qualifications as well as financial support for research and conference travel.
International candidates who meet the following criteria can apply:
- University degree graded as above average
- The final thesis must be graded "good" (certificate required)
- Working knowledge in European academic languages (ideally three, at least two, one of them must be German)
- Willingness to actively participate in a strucktured doctoral program
- At the time of nomination, applicants must not have been resident in Germany for more than the last fifteen months prior to the nomination
- As a rule, applicants should not have graduated any longer than six years before the time of nomination.
